Concomitant Medication Duration Calculation Using SAS® DS2 Procedure

The paper explores three DS2 approaches to calculating overall concomitant-medication duration when treatment intervals are sequential, interrupted or overlapping: arrays, multithreading and packages.

Why it matters

Overlapping records can lead to double-counted exposure. This work provides a concrete programming discussion of interval handling and reusable implementation techniques, illustrated with simulated medication data.

Study Anonymisation: From Request to Delivery
