Shiny tip: export the context with the table

Keep results interpretable outside the app

Include the data cut, selected population, filter values and generation time in an accompanying metadata sheet or text file. Use unambiguous dates and a documented time zone. Avoid including identifiers unless the export is authorised.

Test the export as a separate feature

Confirm that the exported data matches the visible state and that server-side access rules still apply. Consider whether spreadsheet formula characters in free text require safe handling. Test empty results and unusually large exports.
